Davies Collaborative Awarded for Recent Multifamily Projects

The Davies Collaborative, an Austin-based architecture firm, announces honors for three design projects in the area.

• Austin Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Award for Best Multi-Family Development for Lenox Boardwalk.
• Homebuilders’ Association of Greater Austin MAX Award for Best Condo/Townhome for The LAAN
• Austin Apartment Association 2017 Lease Up Property of the Year for Ocotillo and 2018 Lease Up Property of the Year for Lenox Boardwalk.

Lenox Boardwalk, developed by Oden Hughes, has 339 one- and two-bedroom units. The project repurposed a block that had been underutilized and partially abandoned in the East Riverside Corridor. The LEED Silver project features low-flow fixtures, high-efficiency lighting and HVAC, locally-quarried stone, and a unique stormwater containment system. Amenities include a resort-style pool, private cabanas, a lap pool, a two-story Club Room, a multi-level Fitness Center, a dog washing station, a Business Center, and more–all designed to encourage socializing and seamless work-from-home environments.

The LAAN, developed by FourT Realty, and located in south Austin, is a 52-unit, Dutch-farmhouse-inspired townhome condominium project, with an 800-ft.-long private drive entrance. The two- and three-bedroom homes are optimized with open spaces and maximum sightlines to allow in as much natural light, with modern details and comfortable outdoor amenities, all in a walkable community in one of the most desirable ZIP codes in metro Austin.

Ocotillo, developed by Ardent Residential, features one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes on a hilly piece of land off of E. Highway 290, situated within a large land conservancy. The property’s design breaks up the traditional leasing space by locating a smaller leasing pavilion at the entrance, and the fitness center and clubhouse also are separated into independent pavilions overlooking a resort-style pool. All buildings are situated to take advantage of the rolling hill country views, and the interiors offer high-end finishes and appliances.
